Short programmes
Each year, the UWC movement runs short programmes to bring together diverse groups of young people from different socio-economic, cultural and religious backgrounds, whether from a single country or from across the world.
Most programmes take place over two to three weeks in the months of July and August and cover topics including youth leadership, sustainability and intercultural understanding, taking the form of youth forums and summer camps. The objective of the short programmes is to present young people with the UWC mission and values, as well as to give them the opportunity to feel like UWC students. Through living together and participating in workshops, discussions, community service and personal projects, many more young people enjoy the UWC experience and are empowered to effect change in their communities and beyond.
